One of my latest work for a college assignment is a bustier (Fall/Winter) which i designed being inspired by the Polar region.
It is made out of raw silk, faux fur & chiffon and it consists of several panelings, fastening- detachable zipper on the CB, an over-sized hood that when pushed back, acts as a cowl back neck on the bodice and last but not the least, bead-work.
Since my design is Polar inspired I decided to draw freehand snowflakes onto the center front as well as the center back of the bodice in which I've decided to bead.
Okay, so we all know that beading consumes a lot of time. But who the hell knew it would consume ALL of my time
Here's a photo of my progress so far.
Sigh, still a long way to go...
It's a lot of effort sitting all day finding the time to string bead by bead when I have a lot of other assignments and designs to work on, but it's totally all worth it.
The quicker I bead, the sooner I get to praise the end result and the sooner I get to focus on other deadlines :)
