To Be Inspired

Does inspiration come easy for you?
Because I'm beginning to believe that it's a lot of work, not as much to find rather than to grab.

Inspiration surrounds us and that's the problem here. How much can one hold?
With the greed and thirst to compete is it possible to be the first to grab this inspiration and run? Or are we thieves of another artists masterpiece without even knowing it.

In a creative field and situation of the 21st century, it's tough to break inspiration. Not because it's hard to find, inspiration lies from atom to galaxy, but simply because it's been done before.

Notice how fashion designers like Coco Chanel, Kenzo Takada, Louis Vuitton and oh so many more have a beautiful life story behind their success? A story that's so inspiring to the point where you feel like you need to suffer and struggle before you succeed?
And bare in mind, this doesn't only apply to designers. You have your creative writers, painters, sculptors, musicians and many more.

We are all artists looking for a struggle to be inspired.
I believe in the struggle and suffering. I believe it's a must in order to truly earn your own success.
But haven't you heard? Nowadays, money sells everything.

You don't have to make hats from scratch, throw bags into ships for the navy, or run to France to fulfill your hopes and dreams. Haven't you heard? There are people for that and private jets and limousines to ease your journey to your seven star hotel de Paris.

Whatever happened to basics? Is it so difficult to lift up your hand to draw or write? Is it so impossible to think of something original and fresh? Is it out of this world to work for yourself anymore? Is that true determination to do something for oneself an endangered thought and action?

I believe that inspiration runs far and deep and it's up to you to catch it.
There are three types of people in this world. The ones who'll grab it and run to the finish line whether they fail or succeed, the ones who witness it, absorb it but keep it discreet due to the fear that it has been done before, and finally, the ones who walk over it and are ignorant to what this world has to offer.

What type are you?
